As we all know the height of a floor lamp is crucial for its light effect. Mostly the manipulation of lamps is highly technical and involves knobs, screws and so on. The approach to this lamp was to conceive a much more intuitive height adjustment method. Two metal bars attached by friction enables to determine the elevation of the lamp by simply pulling vertically the top bar. The friction between the bars is perfectly balanced so that it reacts immediately to any movement imposed on it, and when letting go, it stays in place.
